New York, NY - Mat Kearney is thrilled to announce the second leg of his US headlining tour in support of his critically acclaimed new album Young Love (Universal Republic). The news comes as Mat wraps up the first leg of a very successful headlining tour that launched the second week in September and included sold out nights at NYC's Webster Hall, sold out show at the House of Blues in Boston, two sold out nights at the House of Blues in Chicago and will culminate this coming Sunday with a sold out show at First Avenue in Minneapolis, MN. The second leg will kick off on January 20th, 2012 at Charlotte, NC's Amos' Southend and will take Mat across the Southern US, through the Pacific North West, and back down to Southern California - lasting nearly six weeks.
Mat Kearney is no stranger to the road as Young Love is his third full-length studio album and marks a high point in his career with its' #4 debut on the Billboard 200. In addition, he found fans in the press for Young Love who raved "excellent album" (USA Today), "instantly catchy ditties" (People) and "infectious" (Newsday). The first single "Hey Mama" hit the top 5 on the Triple A chart and top 15 on the Hot AC and earned him a live performance on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno week of release. Mat and his band also made a stop at the Rachael Ray Show while on the road and fans can tune in to watch this performance the first week of December.
After a short break for the Thanksgiving Holiday, Mat will be doing some select Christmas radio dates and then will be gearing up for 2012, the second leg of his US headlining tour in support of Young Love and a new single and video for "Ships In the Night."
